    Sunny Somethings

It's sister CJ's 18th next week and the family is throwing her a party! We were up til late last night to start preparations for her birthday. Originally we wanted to do a debance (debut + dance) concert months back but party plans were still pending. It would also be very difficult to pull it off with such limited time. So we decided on something fast, fun, and classy! It was only 'til late last night that Tita Cel informed us that we'd be pushing through with the party on January 14. Yes. January 14, that's next Saturday. *gulp*

But with creative and innovative girls in my team (my sister Sassja, Ching, and Tita) I'm sure we can pull this off!

It was a bit tough to settle on a general theme for the party. Glee, Black&Yellow, Pop-Rock, and Candy Land even came to mind but after x number of hours of weighing the pros and cons we FINALLY arrived with a general mood:

Sunny, happy, fresh, fun-- best embodied by the colors yellow, orange, and teal.

    Fun and Funky Colors!
The amazing thing about this project is that there are so many cute pegs to choose from! We're particularly drawn to sunnier colors and hip accents for the party like dots, and colorful layers. Looking at these makes me so excited!

These cute pops can also serve as labels for seat assignments. We're planning to put trivia about C as well.

The fondant flowers on the cake look superb!
What's a party without cupcakes? Still have to talk to my prospect pastry chef  to discuss these. :)

I'm passionate about the flower pom poms! I'm sure they'd look fabulous as decorations for the venue!

Can't wait to start making these! Good thing the instructions here are so easy to follow.

I'm still in the process of making the checklist for the event. So much to do in so little time! Good thing my teammate is a graphic design genius so he gamely helped me put together the invite in a flash! Hopefully we can send these out tonight.

Doesn't this make you say "Whee"? Haha. | (c) Jayzon Palma

More updates about the project in the coming days! :)
