    Congratulations Soon-to-be-Mrs.!

New days bring new surprises. This morning I received a text from one of my Gings that she's engaged!

She still doesn't want us to make a formal press release since she says she still hasn't absorbed the whole thing. But hey, we're all so excited and extremely happy! Not too long ago this friend and I were talking about wonderful plans for her future wedding. We both love crafts and eco-friendly moves so we were envisioning a very simple and organic affair! Think brown paper packaging and raffia ribbons! How lovely!

Oh how time flies! 'twas in 2010 when the first ka-barkada was wed. Kara's wedding was a night to remember! Unfortunately, it was hard to remember the entire night because we were all smashed. I remember  raising a toast to Tring and telling her "cheers to a night that we will forget!"-- And it happened alright! Like a subtle version of The Hangover! haha.

I've been friends with "The Gings"-- (Ging | noun. Bisaya. A term of endearment used for girls) ever since we were in preschool and it's so amusing and amazing to witness our lives changes together. Our concerns used to be about our Polly Pocket play dates, making code names for our crushes, conspiring against other batches to become THE BEST batch, and daydreaming of what we'll all become after school. Now we're all grown up, concerned about careers/family/finances/travel... and now marriage!

At age 24 I didn't expect that things would be happening so fast. It's still very surreal for me when a childhood friend calls me up to say that he/she's getting hitched. Wow.

But hey, life goes on and this is going to be an exciting chapter! So CONGRATULATIONS Ging!

     Can't wait for December! :)
